I purchased a petticoat of the same style from a local vintage inspired shop in Red and when I ordered from their website in black I was shipped a shorter item. I returned that and promptly searched the internet for this style because I needed one in black. This is the PERFECT length for 50's inspired swing dresses and gives the perfect shape to those style dresses. Yes, they are scratchy but that isn't helped unless you wear a slip underneath the petticoat so easily fixed really
About the seller ... shipped immediately upon order placement and the item arrived a day early.
I have heard that the owner of this particular company passed away and therefore they aren't fulfilling orders quickly as the company sits in Limbo (hence the selling out of colors and sizes here). I suggest ordering while this vendor still has in stock.

BalasHapusI was planning on wearing a tea length dress for my school's Winter Formal but the only thing I was missing was a crinoline to go under it. I wanted something that made it look very full and fluffy and just cute! And this crinoline did all of that and more! when I put it on under my dress it made it so big and poofy almost like a princess dress. It was awesome! I'm so happy that I bought this!! It's truly PERFECT! Now I can't wait till my dance cause I'm gonna look just like a princess!!

This is the real old fashioned Crinoline that I wore as a child. It sets off your wide skirts and dresses beautifully giving them that vintage look.

BalasHapusI love when I order something and it's exactly as I anticipated. I'm no slip expert, but if you are looking for some fluff for your skirt/dress, give this one a try. My daughter needed it for her flower girl dress and this gave the exact look we were after. The slip is made very well and gives quite a bit of fullness. My daughter is short for her age so the slip is more ankle length than tea length on her. The item was packaged well and arrived quickly. I recommend this slip and if I need another one in the future I will not hesitate to buy this again.
BalasHapusI am so happy with this item and will be ordering again! First thing; XL is VERY long. I'm 5'9 and a longer torso/28 inch waist and this went near mid calf. I bought extra large because I REALLY needed the max length. Next time around I'll go medium or large. Plus size gals and/or taller should note that XL will fit great and I'm sure large will too depending on how you are built. I have hips and a bum so this sits well at size XL but smaller girls will need small and medium.

Of course all crinolines have a stiff effect and feel, as too fill out the dress but this line feels more comfortable than Leg Ave. The leg avenue petticoat I bought last year ran too short to wear for any peek-a-boo effect with almost all of my pin up dresses. That said this will be too long for Unique Vintage MINI swings, Heartbreaker sweetie dresses and any dresses that hit JUST below the knee. However my PUG swing dresses and Hell Bunny MayDay dresses look like a million bucks. I'm going to get a few chiffon petticoats and shorter size crinolines to round out my collection plus a few more tea lengths. The color selection is AMAZING!!
Lastly, buying made in USA is almost impossible to do these days. DO support this buisness and know that you are putting your money back into the economy and getting an affordable QUALITY product. When we waste our money and buy from China the opposite seems to be the case. Buy one of these crinolines and have a blast!

I ordered 2 of these crinolines for my daughters who were in a show. They were very poufy and well made. The price reflects the quality of the product. They will be able to use them for future productions requiring this type of undergarment. They should stand the test of time! Very satisfied.
