Comfort Research 4 Foot Large Espresso

I'm a graduate student and I do a lot of reading so I wanted something comfortable and low to the ground to sit on so I could throw my books on the floor while I'm working and still have them easily accessible. For a while I had been daydreaming about making my own foam filled giant "bean bag" chair. My boyfriend was very much against it for several reasons, and as I was doing research on the DIY beanbag chair I started to see how making my own could become a total mess and cost over $100. I really don't have the time to make my own right now, and $100 was about the max I wanted to spend, so when I found this beauty on Amazon I decided to give it a go, bad reviews be darned. I figured potentially wasting $116 on Amazon was a lot better than spending the same amount to make my own, and make a mess out of it. And I am so glad I bought this instead.
Out of the box (which was kind of awful to carry up the stairs) it was a foam cube rock. It didn't do anything cool when it was released from its tethers, it just kind of sat there like a cube rock. I was able to easily pull the chunks apart through the fabric, and did a little bit of punching and kicking and it soon became a giant foam blob. I did a "running" (swiftly walking) jump onto it and it and it was kind of fun. I didn't break any bones or anything. I like to change positions a lot when I read so I have no idea if sitting stationary causes it to sink down into the floor. I'm sitting on it right now as I type and it's morphed itself into an almost arm chair shape. As soon as I'm finished, I'm going to fluff it up again and jump on it so I can lie down on it like a squishy, short bed.
As I write this, I realize that I do a lot of jumping and falling onto this thing, and maybe that's the key. I could see how, at it's full fluffed-up height, it looks horribly uncomfortable. My arthritic cat avoids it unless I am already on it. But if you jump or fall into it, it forms a perfect little cocoon of comfort around your body.

  2. The Fuf came just as advertised and with directions that it takes 7-10 days to fluff to its full size. I think some of the other reviewers missed that point. If you have pets they will immediately claim it as did my teenager.

  3. I like that it is stuffed with foam chunks instead of the plastic stuff that would leak out. Very comfortable and easy to shape. Fits a 200lb adult.

  4. My grandson loves this...it's huge...easily fits 2 adults...quality made...I would highly recommend this for a rec room, family room, or game room.

  5. My toddler grandson loves the chair. We bought it for his playroom. Good buy. Seems very well made too. End

  6. Just opened the package and first impressions are it is big and foamy (instead of the sorry bean filled type) My kids are all over it, very impressed, have been to all over the major stores around my area and none of them carry this size or quality. Happy family here.

  7. When first received I, like others, was skeptical. Not sure I had spent my money on something worthy. 7 days later my large fuf is at its full size and full comfort. Patience is reward. BTW, The smell goes away after a few days. I am very happy with the size for my living room.

  8. First let me say chair is bigger than it looks in this picture, so make sure you have the room for it. When it arrived it took a bit to get all the foam broken up from the square. Like the other reviews states it will get bigger over a couple days as the foam expands. Love to watch tv, read and nap in this. Very pleased with the purchase.

  9. I Love this item. I use it everyday and it is so comfortable! It took about 7 days for the bean bag to fully fluff up after the compressed packaging, but now its amazing!
